With 100,000 square feet of gaming space, spread over two levels, two bars, seven restaurants and a show lounge, Grand Villa casino is the newest and largest gaming facility in the Vancouver area. The casino can be found in the modern city of Burnaby – about 10 kilometres east of Vancouver – centrally located in the heart of the business and leisure district near the corner of Willingdon and Highway 1. Burnaby is a beautiful place that is nestled within the confines of the beautiful and grand Burnaby Mountain which offers one an extremely picturesque view all around. The casino is 30 minutes from Vancouver airport and about 15 minutes from downtown Vancouver. It is convenient for public transport as it is located a short bus ride south from Brentwood Station on the Millennium Line or north from Metrotown Station on the Expo Line, although there is ample free parking on site.
Adjacent to the casino is the Delta Burnaby Hotel and Conference Centre which has 200 rooms and suites. It has a full facility health club and secured parking (parking will be charged if not contained in a package). The hotel has a Stay and Play package which includes breakfast, complimentary parking and a $5 gaming voucher for each adult. As it is so close to Vancouver, you could take your pick of hotels in their downtown area, but there are also other hotels located closer to the casino in Burnaby such as the Executive Suites Hotel and Conference Centre, Accent Inns, Lake City Inn and Suites or the cheaper New 401 Inn.
The casino has 1,000 multi denominational slot and video slot machines and 50 gaming tables. All the usual games are played here including Baccarat, Blackjack, Craps, Pai Gow and Roulette. The casino features live entertainment on Friday and Saturday evenings in the Personas Show Lounge. When it’s time to refuel there are seven choices of dining experience, offering a wide range of choice from a quick snack to a gourmet meal.
