Casino Nanaimo

Casino Nanaimo is a recently renovated 17,000 square foot gaming space and is located in Nanaimo (the ‘Harbour City’) which is along the east coast of south central Vancouver Island. Nanaimo is British Columbia’s sixth largest city. It is about 110 kilometres northwest of Victoria and 55 kilometres west of Vancouver, separated by the Strait of Georgia. The nearest airport is Nanaimo airport – about a 20 minute drive from the casino. Driving from Victoria airport will take you about one and a half hours. It takes just under three hours to get there from downtown Vancouver via ferry from Horseshoe Bay – Departure Bay. The crossing takes just over one and a half hours and there are regular departures. You could also get there via seaplane from Vancouver harbour – the flight takes about 15 minutes. The harbour is less than a ten minute walk from the casino.

Located in downtown Nanaimo, beside the Port Place Shopping Centre, the casino offers convenient free parking on site and at the adjacent Vancouver Island Conference Centre. It does not have an on-site hotel but there are plenty in its vicinity including the Coast Bastion Inn, Best Western Plus Dorchester Hotel and Days Inn.

The casino offers a wide variety of popular card tables and slot machine games. It has over 400 slot machines including new ones as well as old favourites. There are slot jackpots up to $200,000. Table games featured are electronic Roulette, Fortune Pai Gow, EZ Baccarat, Texas Hold’em Bonus Poker and Blackjack. There is no live Poker.
