The new Hard Rock Casino Vancouver opened in Coquitlam just before Christmas 2013 with memorabilia from Jimmy Hendrix, Elvis, Tina Turner, Madonna, the Spice Girls and Prince among others. The building, which replaced the old Boulevard Casino, features an 80,000 square foot casino, 1,100 seat music venue and seven dining options. Coquitlam, a suburb of Vancouver, is 30 kilometres north east of the airport and the casino is 10 kilometres south of the centre of Coquitlam. It is easily accessible from the Trans Canada Highway, Lougheed Highway, Barnett Highway and North Road and the casino has plenty of free parking. The 97 B-Line bus connects Coquitlam with the Skytrain service from Vancouver and Burnaby at Lougheed Town Centre.

There is no on-site hotel, the nearest being the Best Western Plus Chelsea Inn – but there are many others in the surrounding areas of Coquitlam and Surrey. Or take a choice from all downtown Vancouver has to offer as it is just a 30 minute drive away.

With 950 slot machines, Hard Rock Casino boasts that they have got the largest selection of penny and two cent slots in British Columbia. They also host 46 gaming tables, a Poker Room, High Limit Salons and game tables for Blackjack, Roulette, Baccarat, Poker, Pai Gow, Craps and more. The casino’s Poker Room also offers bar and food service to players – so you don’t need to miss a hand. There are also opportunities to bet on horse racing from around the world. The casino operates the Encore Rewards scheme at three levels of membership with various benefits. A wide variety of dining can be experienced with seven choices of restaurant, cafe or bar. Hard Rock casino also features various live shows headlined by top international stars as well as comedy shows and up and coming local and regional acts.
